Release Dates for Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Rising announced

The new Tomb Raider reboot is slated for release on March 5th 2013. It was delayed from its initial Fall Schedule.

Metal Gear Rising has just the vague Early 2013 mark. Its made the people who made Beyonetta and Vanquish so well worth the wait.

Pre-E3 Announcements: Lords of Shadow 2, Star Wars, DEAD SPACE 3

The Sequel to the highly regarded 2010 release Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has been announced! And it’s slated for… 2013?! God damn it.

Also a new Star War. I’m not really interested in that universe but here’s the trailer:

EAHAS CONFIRMED DEAD SPACE 3!!! HOLY SHIT
No trailer though, but the game has been confirmed for showing at EA’s E3 Show! BRING IT ON

Russell Crowe Set to Act in Noah

There’s nothing really to add over the title except that Darren Aronofsky, director of Requiem for a Dream and Black Swan, is hoping this will be his big break since the budget for this movie is 100 million (!) Dollars.
Please don’t be a box office bomb.

The Hangover Part III, the (obviously) third movie in the famous franchise, is set to release on May 24. Let’s just hope there are less repetition and male nudity.

The sequel for Zack Snyder’s 300 will be releasing on August 2.

The newest film from geek favorite Guillermo Del Toro, of Hellboy and Pan’s Labyrinth fame, Pacific Rim is to be released on July 12.

Epic Mickey 2 Announced

Junction Point with director Warren Spector, the director of the original Deus Ex, have announced a sequel to their well liked Wii game Epic Mickey. The Wii is the lead platform (insert Darth Vader’s NOOOOOOOOO).

’28 Weeks Later’ Director Leaves Bioshock Project

20120326-191707.jpg

Here’s what he had to say:
“To be honest, by now, I’m completely out of that, and developing other , right now it’s on hold. The studio and the video game company, they have to reach some kind of agreement about the budget and the rating.”

Ken Levine, the original games’ director, has said previously there was no “burning desire” to have the film made, “just to get it made”.

“For us and for Take-Two, it’s really got to be something that will give the fans something that they want, and, for those who don’t know BioShock, really introduce them to something that is consistent with the game”.

Thanks, vg247.

The Walking Dead Season 2 Finale Breaks Records

20120321-111556.jpg
The season finale that aired yesterday had a record of 9 million viewers.
Holy shit.
The zombie soap opera that everybody loved (if you don’t you’re a heartless bastard) has blown cable records’ brains by having more viewers than CBS could ever dream of.
Surely this new founded success will make AMC’s executives’ decision to cut its budget in half and firing the main producer even more idiotic than it seemed.

Michael Bay to Remove Mutant from TMNT

20120321-111951.jpg
WHAT?!
That is all I have to say.
The director of the Transformer trilogy (and the reboot in 2014) is producing the new TMNT movie. Like it was said in the title, he is replacing Mutant with… ALIENS!
Why? So ” kids are going to believe, one day, that these turtles actually do exist when we are done with this movie. These turtles are from an alien race and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely lovable.”

20120321-112103.jpg
……..
Fuck you Bay. I hope you rot in hell.

The new TMNT movie will be released on 2013. The new cartoon series will launch this fall

Jurassic Park to be Re-Released in 3D Next Year

Double Fine’s KickStarter Project Reaches $3 Million

20120313-205538.jpg

Since Double Fine started this project a month ago, fans have helping with the studio’s request for moneyz to build a new point and click adventure by them.
Holy… wow, just wow. I can’t believe that one of the most awesome game studios in a long time got more what they wanted… from the fans!! Don’t you just love it when the greedy publishers get out the equation and we get pure unadulterated fun games?!

Double Fine is games studio. Their games are Psychonauts, Brütal Legend, Costume Quest, Stacking, Iron Brigade, and most recently Double Fine Happy Action Theater.
KickStarter is a website where individuals or companies can ask for funding for future products.

Peter Molyneux Leaves Lionhead

20120307-184939.jpg

The Creative Director and Producer at Lionhead Peter Molyneux has left the company. As stated in the title. Duh.
God I’m horrible at this…
Anyways, main guy just left the company, and joined another one called 22 Cans.
Peter is most famous for his vivid imagination and ambition for his titles. Also hyping them.. A LOT.
(god professional journalism is hard).
This guy has let down more gamers with his new “innovations” than any softcore pornography with its misleading “nudity”.
Huh… not really that hard I see. (zing)
His most well received projects were Black & White, the Fable trilogy (and its dreadful spin-offs), Syndicate (the old RTS one), and Dungeon Keeper.

Good luck Peter. May god help you with your crazy ideas.

Bioshock Infinite Coming October 16th

written by: Aziz Twaijri

HOLY SHIT YES!
Finally the most anticipated game this year (for me at the very least) has a locked date! Hopefully it won’t be delayed, or come during the major exams that plague every student’s life.
BioShock Infinite is the third game in the series created by Ken Levine. It has abandoned the traditional location the previous game were based in, Rapture. This time it is set in the City of Columbus in mid air, decades before the first Bioshock timeline.

Assassin’s Creed III To Be Set in the US During the Revolution

written by: Aziz Twaijri

Nothing can be said more than what is written in the title, really. Although I’m sad that the game is not set during Victorian England, I AM excited about the idea of a full-on war against the Templars with the founding fathers of the US.
Judging by the tomahawk in the main guy’s hand however.. I could probably guess that he might be an.. Indian American?! That would pit the assassins against the Americans as well as the British.
Interesting.

Assassin’s Creed III: Coming October 30

Ubisoft has confirmed the release date for the latest title in the Assassin’s creed franchise as October 30.  No other details were mentioned other than it is the concluding title in Desmond’s plot. Rumors that the setting is going to be at either The French revolution or the American one. I, for one, hope the game would be based in Victorian England. The game has been confirmed for the following platforms: PS3, 360, PC, and Wii U.

Other news related to Ubisoft release schedule this year: The new Splinter Cell [Retribution] will be released on unspecified date. Far Cry 3 will released in September 6.
